Rose thorns are an obstacle that prevent the player from interacting with nearby flowers due to their spikiness. This is conveyed gently with a “no” gesture, there is no implication of pain or damage to the player.

Some levels feature polluted ground tiles upon which flowers can only remain for one turn. This is depicted as a painless experience.

Some flowers emit fairy dust which can put other flowers to sleep. This does not cause flowers pain or distress, it only prevents them from scoring points.

Some levels feature bees. The bees are harmless and serve only to give the player bonus points for scoring in selected positions on the game board.

Some levels feature stones. These are an obstacle. They do not hurt other flowers or the player, they just look grumpy and prevent scoring.
